Ronald E McNair Program

Throughout my time as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, I have had several amazing opportunities to become involved both academically and socially. One of these amazing opportunities that I have the pleasure to be involved in is the Ronald E McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program.

The Ronald E McNair program is a graduate school preparatory program that provides many opportunities and resources to students who are egar to conduct undergraduate research. As a McNair Scholar, students have the opportunity to conduct undergraduate research in collaboration with a faculty mentor of their choice. This research project can investigate any topic that the McNair scholar desires. Throughout this process, scholars will gain valuable skills such as data collection and analysis, time management, and critical thinking. These skills, along with advice given from the knowledgeable faculty that McNair scholars work with, will be critical for success in a future graduate program.
